Kazera Global owns a 60% interest in a diamond mining operation in Alexander Bay, South Africa. The project was initially acquired in June 2020 and since then the Company has acquired the necessary mining equipment, recruited and trained all necessary personnel and begun extracting diamonds. It is anticipated that the operation will be profitable for the group from the beginning of 2022
The operation is located within the 80km long Alexkor diamond fields, which lies between two historic De Beers operations.
The project was ascribed an inferred resource of 208 000 carats at a bottom cut-off aperture size of 1.6 mm at a grade of 6.0 ct/100m2 for the Cliffs mine area. This is just one of the blocks in which the company intends to operate.
